SF Bay Ferry Transit Connector
Connecting commuters from the public ferry to Oyster Point.
The San Francisco Bay Ferry provides weekday-only, commuter service between Oakland’s Jack London Square and Alameda Main Street terminals in the East Bay to South San Francisco’s Oyster Point Marina terminal. It’s a great way to enjoy your commute and avoid the bridge traffic! As of March 9, the SF Bay Ferry launched an optimized schedule specifically for East Bay residents commuting to South San Francisco. See details below.
TELL ME MORE
- Duration: The one-way trip takes 40–45 minutes. Plan to arrive at the terminal 10 – 15 minutes before departure.
- Arrive Before the Hour: Morning ferries now land at Oyster Point 15 minutes before the top of the hour, allowing for a buffer before meetings.
- The “Late Start”: A new 9:05 am departure from Oakland accommodates school/daycare drop-offs or early global calls from home.
- SPECIAL NOTE FOR ALAMEDA RESIDENTS: While the 9:05 am run departs from Oakland, Alameda riders can take the 8:48 am Water Shuttle to Oakland for a seamless transfer at Jack London Square.
More information on the SF Bay Ferry can be found on their website here.
There are also multiple ways to get from the Oyster Point Marina terminal to your office. Genentech and Commute.org each provide a connector shuttle that drops off at different locations around Oyster Point. Please see below for these connector shuttle schedules.
